Imagine picking up a loaf of bread and having a tag on it that said, "Today, as I was kneading this bread, I saw a hummingbird resting on a small branch just outside the window. He seemed to be catching his breath, reminding me, too, to enjoy the moment."<br /><br />But ... maybe people would just think it too preachy. I got yelled at once when a woman in Whole Foods asked if I knew where to find the Miracle Whip and I said WF doesn't carry that but the safflower mayonnaise might be a good substitution. She thought I was being "sanctimonious." I was just trying to help.PostMusehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10577063129345816693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5974884003394213062.post-4194975425943043502013-03-11T13:11:36.692-04:002013-03-11T13:11:36.692-04:00I haven't had decent sea food in far too long!...I haven't had decent sea food in far too long!! You might need to correct for seasonings at the end (cubes being mostly salt), but the end result will be even silkier. I am currently redefining what food means to me as I delete foods from my diet which are generally associated with comfort: wheat, dairy, and other grains. I need to find ways to make veggies and fruits into comfort food that rivals mac & cheese or pound cake!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00009589872975849317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5974884003394213062.post-65589445915365777852013-01-12T14:03:52.758-05:002013-01-12T14:03:52.758-05:00Easy! When I do eat something I once thought of as "bad", it usually doesn't taste very good to me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5974884003394213062.post-14629654564073614692011-12-10T09:58:28.716-05:002011-12-10T09:58:28.716-05:00I am often 10-15 pounds overweight, and didn't...I am often 10-15 pounds overweight, and didn't typically have trouble taking it off, at least before I turned 50. Now I just can't get it off, and it is settling in places where it never settled before. It is frustrating. I know, for me, it is more about getting more active, but that's not easy. I don't know why. It should be easy. I have the time.<br /><br />I've also come to think in terms of healthy/not healthy instead of "bad" foods. I have always avoided foods with lots of ingredients, but now I also won't buy food with high fructose corn syrup or enriched flour (even enriched wheat flour). Eliminating those two things means I'm reading labels, and that is healthy. Perhaps it isn't a focus on weight but a focus on reading that we need in the US.PostMusehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10577063129345816693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5974884003394213062.post-19680481831064086472011-08-25T06:58:31.582-04:002011-08-25T06:58:31.582-04:00Great advice!
